About Me
Hello.
I’m Nakayamaken, the operator of this site “nakayamaken.com”.
I don’t use my real name, but I plan to honestly leave my true
thoughts and traces of thinking here.
What I’m doing now
As of 2025, I work as a full-time taxi driver in Japan.
Mostly in urban areas, I transport people every day and keep notes
on what I notice.
This job is not just transportation.
It feels like standing on the front line where urban structure,
transportation policy, and human emotions and behavior intersect.
I’m also working on side projects—creating online materials, building blogs, and sharing technical topics based on my past experience.
What I used to do
After graduating from university, I worked as a taxi driver for four
years.
Then I spent about a year and a half in an office job, and returned
to taxi work in May 2025.
Vehicles, traffic lights, signs, roads, railways, aircraft, engines,
transmissions—
I also worked on projects that supported image recognition in
transportation and industrial domains.
Looking back, it was a job chosen by my deep affection for transportation.
Why I started this site
The reason is clear.
To rebuild myself—one more time.
This “nakayamaken.com” is a record of recovery and a new start.
- No pandering
- No name, no face
- But full sincerity in the content
That’s the kind of writing I want to keep doing here.
Things I like / care about
- Transportation, cities, and mobility—especially road traffic, urban structure, and the aesthetics of railway networks
- Engine sounds and behavior—like the Crown 3Y-PE; I genuinely fall in love with the sound
- K-pop, Japanese pop (Showa–Heisei), Tropical House—more about structure and groove than lyrics
- Learning Korean—self-studying while making my own materials
- Building and improving a technical blog—daily trial-and-error around Next.js / MDX / Cloudflare Pages
- Self-analysis and action management in Notion—no templates; structure is power
What I write about here
- The reality of urban transportation seen from taxi work
- K-pop/J-pop culture and the movements of emotions carved into each era
- Self-analysis, life inventory, and mental notes toward rebuilding
- Notes on building and optimizing a static blog with Next.js and MDX
Who I hope reads this
- Current, former, or future taxi drivers
- People interested in urban transportation and social structure
- Those who resonate with rebuilding and starting again
- People who want to be honest about what they love
Lastly
This place is a medium for myself,
and also a record that might reach someone, somewhere.
I don’t need a destination.
What matters is to keep moving.
That’s how I’ll keep writing.
Come back anytime you feel like it.
